I Am Disabled, and Can No Longer Work. What Do I Do?

Physician Disability: Coverage Options and Re-Entry Opportunities

If you are disabled and can no longer work due to injury or sickness, carriers will typically offer a Disability Tail at no cost to their insured physicians. Check with your agent to find out what is needed to obtain this coverage if you are disabled and can no longer practice.

Ready to return to practice?

Professional Risk has partnered with The Center for Personalized Education for Physicians (CPEP) in order to provide additional services for physicians looking to re-enter the workforce.

Specifically designed for providers intending to return to practice after a voluntary extended absence, the re-entry program provides a focused skills evaluation and a personalized reentry education plan that helps providers meet their goal of safely returning to clinical practice. After completing the program, participants are often able to demonstrate current competence within their field.  If you would like more information on the re-entry program click here.
