Midlothian, Virginia - August 25, 2020 - Professional Risk Associates, a risk and quality management services company for physicians and physician practices, will promote Cari Fessler to the position of Vice President of Operations effective September 1st, 2020. Fessler previously managed the South East Virginia territory for a global provider of outsourced workforce solutions where she oversaw financial results, growth, and operations throughout the region. She later worked with a finance and accounting firm providing Human Resources consulting and advisory services to clients throughout Virginia including HR policy design, creation of strategic outsourced recruiting and staffing plans, Human Resources compliance support and process development. Fessler then joined Professional Risk in February 2013. As Associate Vice President for Professional Risk, Cari has led our efforts to remain a best in class workplace, provided operational support to our Sales and Service teams, and oversees the administration of our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) including managing the annual stock valuation and plan design. She will continue to oversee her old duties with this promotion and her new responsibilities include, participation in strategic planning for Professional Risk, overseeing Professional Risk’s technology and infrastructure including software deployment and compliance, internal support of professional development, and coordination of Professional Risk’s finance activities. Her goal is to ensure Professional Risk has the tools and resources necessary to meet the evolving needs of clients while maintaining profitability, and the agency operations align with and support our strategic plan for growth.
