Robert V. Meadows to Retire at the Conclusion of 2019, New Appointments at Professional Risk

Midlothian, Virginia -- January 10, 2019 - Professional Risk Associates (PRA) will wish a fond farewell to Robert V. Meadows at the conclusion of 2019 when he retires after 20 years with the Company.


Meadows began his insurance career in 1973, working for CNA and Aetna prior to serving in executive management positions with Virginia Professional Underwriters, Inc. and Professional Risk Management Services, Inc. He began his career with PRA in March 1999.


“During the past 20 years, we have experienced hard markets and soft markets, great (and challenging) relationships with employees, clients and carriers, and the "ups & downs" all successful businesses experience on a daily basis. Through it all, Bob has diligently worked to contribute to PRA's success and under his leadership, the agency has flourished” said John Glander, PRA’s Chief Executive Officer & President.


As of January 1, 2019 Meadows stepped down from his role as Executive Vice President and will serve as Advisor to the President until his retirement. Steve Fargis has now assumed the role as Executive Vice President.


Jennifer Richard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will continue in an expanded role with the management of the PRA team of risk advisors and lead the firm’s marketing efforts, including oversight of new business opportunities.


Additionally, Michael Owens has been promoted to Associate Vice President assuming management responsibilities while maintaining his relationships with his current Clients.


John Glander will continue in his role as CEO & President.
