30th Anniversary
In 1989 John Glander, a businessman and entrepreneur in Virginia, decided to form a company where culture, knowledge, and the expertise of its employees would result in the highest level of trust and service to its clients. Thus, Professional Risk Associates (PRA) was born.
Since then, the mission of PRA has been to make a difference in the lives of physicians by reducing their anxiety level regarding risk identification and mitigation in their practice. By employing those with an in-depth understanding of the medical professional liability marketplace and ensuring they have the same commitment to making a difference, a dynamic company has evolved now representing over 4,000 MD’s in 23 states and the District of Columbia, with plans to continue growing.
Whether it’s the creation of PRA as an ESOP company (Employee Stock Ownership Program), partnering with five premiere medical professional liability carriers in the U.S., or the development of a unique risk analytics program exclusive to PRA clients; our company continues to have the desired effect of making a difference in both in the lives of our employees and our physician clients.
